Kea Bugs Update

Here is a description of current known issues with Kea. If you have issues other than these, please contact angela@katipo.co.nz with a full description of the problem.

Please send us the following details:

a screenshot,
the url of a page showing the problem
a description of what you were doing when the problem occurred
the name of the browser you were using (Firefox, Windows IE6, etc)

Kaka Bugs

Browse button moving in IE6 - this has been improved, but is still happening sporadically. You can usually fix it by either re-sizing your browser window to less than full size, or refreshing the browser screen.

Bugs in Tiny MCE

Editor buttons disappear in full screen mode IE6
Formatting problems -IE6
Not picking up page title when you make a new page

Bug Fixed

Not picking up broken links when you trigger - these links are now picked up ok.

Issues caused by the Editor's new way of doing things

Links, including in page links now need to have the full file path from root.

eg: /about/contact/index.html#target

Tables - when you make a new row with the editor, it doesn't pick up any styles. Tables may need to be styled in a different way from previously
Full screen mode editing - when you edit in full screen mode, then save, the edit pages content does not display properly. Refreshing the screen brings the correct page view back.
Kea Image upload - now using the normal editor window, so you need to set a fixed width in the Appearance tab if width is important.

Other Bugs not related to the Upgrade

Autonav is not working properly on some sites. Autonav may need refreshing after new pages made. For some sites making new pages causes the nav include to be changed. This is a serious problem and we're working to resolve it. In the meantime check carefuly and generate new navigation from the "Site Map" utility in the drop down menu top right of your Kaka screen.
