CafeNet News - New product released

16 December 2005

We've been doing more work with Citylink on Cafenet, adding some new features and a new product. You can now "Go All Week" and print out reciepts for that all important expense claiming.

NEWS RELEASE FROM CAFENET ADMINISTRATOR...

Exciting developments on Cafenet - we have added a new product, GoAllWeek. For just $50 you can use CafeNET for 7 days (to be specific, 168 hours from the time you activate it). Its not intended for sucking the life out of the Internet (we have some limits on use) but it means ultra high speed email and browsing for a whole week - just like GoAllDay, only longer!

And for those of you who have wanted a WiFi training course read on!

WiFi Training Course

Whitireia Community Polytechnic now has CafeNET access in E-Block on their Wineera Drive campus at Porirua.

Whitireia is also planning to offer intermediate level Cisco WiFi and VoIP courses next year, subject to enrolment numbers. They could also run CCNA courses that start at introductory level. Any of these courses can be run at either our Porirua or Wellington campus. If you would like to know more about any of these courses, send an email to cisco@whitireia.ac.nz.

New sites

  • In Wellington, Gloria Jeans (corner of Lambton Quay and Waring Taylor St), and Whitireia E-Block (Wineera Drive, Porirua) are up and running.
  • The Palmerston North Public Library is now now fully covered! and if you didn't know the Palmerston North Airport is covered and also very popular.
  • And in Nelson the historic and iconic Kohatu Hotel south of Nelson is offering CafeNET to customers. "A landmark in Nelson and a familiar and popular place to stop on the long haul between Nelson and the West Coast The Kohatu Hotel has coverage in the bar and restaurant".

And a question

If we could deliver CafeNET all around NZ where are the places you most want to have CafeNET? - hotels, motels, parks, airports, libraries etc..

If you have somewhere in mind let me know or email info@cafenet.co.nz

Noting that for all sites we still need the site owner to want it and we find site owners much happier to have CafeNET if their customers are already asking for it, so if you have a place you like, just ask them to ask us about CafeNET, and we will look after them.

Thanks very much for your support and enjoy your WiFi

Cheers Duncan
